As a Certified Professional in Utilization Review, there is no denying that there is a Health Care Crisis in the USA. What Bush has done in vetoing Health Care Insurance for Children and Adolescents of Lower Income Families is a National Disgrace.
When all is said and done, Health Care [at least in America] is not the domain of the state. Even Health Care Systems in China and Vietnam have co payments. Iran has tinkered with the idea of privatising their health care system. Germany has a Public and a Private Tier of Health Care in which the citizen who wants Private Health Care can go see any Health Care Professional they like but cannot return to the Public Health Care System.
The Health Care Crisis in the USA is the fault of those who played a role in it. Certain Health Care Professionals who think with money in their mind and heart abused the system. Politicians who tinkered with Health Care whether they be Republicans, Democrats, or even Independents have tinkered with the system. Pharmaceutical Companies under stress and restrictions with the need to create new products which will be a “cure all” are another cause. Last but not least, those of the people [in America] who believe that they “deserve health care”, “need everything”, and “are owed something”. The majority of the people want nothing more than health care without having to pay for it.
The problem is that Health Care is expensive whether the people like it or not. It takes years of studies, training, sacrifice, and more training to receive and renew a licence. It takes years to elaborate a discovery, put it into practice, test the discovery, and then have it sent to the Food and Drug Administration for its approval. Remember that the Food and Drug Administration in the USA also has its backlog.
